Children sometimes have misconceptions about what is happening, especially when adults don’t recognize their confusion and provide explanations they can grasp. This happened when I had knee replacement surgery. My grandchildren’s misconceptions about what was happening inspired me to write the adorable story I’m sure your child will enjoy reading.
